Grayson County Sheriff Norman Chaffins said the incident happened around 10:45 am CDT Thursday (5\/10) morning at a residence in the 500 block of Grant Road. The initial investigation indicated that the suspect entered the home through the unlocked front door of a 63 year-old female while she was still in the home and demanded money. The suspect then struck the woman in the arms and head and knocked her to the ground. She then began screaming as the man grabbed her purse and fled out the front door taking her purse. The victim was taken by private means to the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center, where she was treated and released. <\/p>\n
The suspect is described as a young white male, appearing to be 18 or 19 years of age, wearing a maroon or burgundy hoodie and dark colored jeans. He may have had bad acne or acne scarring on his face. The suspect may have been dropped off by someone in a gray Pontiac Grand Prix as it was seen in the area earlier in the day. The suspect(s) is still at large.
