Police say 39-year-old Stephen Gibbons walked into the BB&T Bank at 330 Whittington Parkway, just south of the intersection of South Hurstbourne Parkway and Shelbyville Road, approached the teller and demanded cash, claiming to be armed with an explosive device. He then he ran from the bank with $3,300. The robbery was captured on surveillance video. <\/p>\n
According to police, an anonymous tip led to his arrest. <\/p>\n
When police interviewed 33 year-old Jessica Gibbons, she allegedly admitted to driving the getaway vehicle for her husband. <\/p>\n
Stephen Gibbons was arrested last month and charged with first degree robbery. A warrant was issued for Jessica Gibbons on September 7. She was taken into custody on Saturday morning. She is charged with complicity to first degree robbery.<\/p>\n
Both husband and wife are being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
