But members of United Auto Workers Local 862 rejected Ford&#8217;s four-year contract offer by a 2-1 majority.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The vote was 1,258 for to 2,341 against at the Kentucky Truck Plant and 1,221 for to 2,585 against at Louisville Assembly Plant. Similar rejections at several other Ford facilities put the entire national contract in jeopardy, and with it, Ford&#8217;s pledge of $9 billion re-investments in its North American plants.<\/p>\n<p>One issue, almost 3,000 workers in Louisville have hired on at a second-tier, or lower wage, during the past seven years.
