\nChanges are coming for access to Fort Knox beginning on Tuesday (12\/1). Enhanced security measures are being implemented for Central Kentucky military installation that are directed by the U.S. Department of Defense.<\/p>\n

Beginning on December 1, all individuals who wish to enter Fort Knox must use the Chaffee Gate. Those who do not have a military id must be present a valid operators license and be vetted at the visitor center by using the far left lanes.<\/p>\n

The exception to the new guideline are commercial trucks delivering to the post, individuals who have a military id car or Common Access Card. <\/p>\n

Effective December 15, all commercial truck traffic must access Fort Knox via the Brandenburg Station gate between the hours of 6 and 1 pm. Commercials Trucks will be vetted at the Chaffee Gate when the Brandenburg Station gate is closed. <\/p>\n

The Chaffee, Brandenburg Station, and Wilson Road gates will remain open to those with military id cards or Common Access Cards during normal operating hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
