Daniel Cameron filed paperwork on Tuesday (1\/22) to seek the Republican nomination for attorney general. Democratic Attorney General Andy Beshear is not running for re-election. He is running for governor instead.<\/p>\n
An Elizabethtown native, Cameron graduated from the University of Louisville in 2008 after playing as a safety on the football team, mostly as a reserve. He was McConnell’s lawyer from 2015 to 2017 in Washington. He’s now an attorney at the Frost Brown Todd firm in Louisville.<\/p>\n
Cameron said he will use the office to fight the drug epidemic.<\/p>\n
