The Louisville Fire Department was called to the river just before 6 p.m., according to MetroSafe.<\/p>\n
Crews found a body in the water close to where Silver Creek flows into the river, on the New Albany side.<\/p>\n
Officials have scheduled an autopsy for next week.<\/p>\n
The Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Louisville Metro Police River Patrol and New Albany Fire Department, New Albany Police and Floyd County EMS assisted in the recovery.<\/p>\n
Anyone with information they believe might be relevant to this investigation should call the Indiana Conservation Officers\u2019 Central Dispatch at 812-837-9536.
