\nA 6-year-old Woodford County boy was stabbed to death early Monday (12\/07) morning during a home invasion.<\/p>\n

According to his arrest report, 32 year-old Ronald Exantus of Indianapolis entered a home in the 300 block of Douglas Avenue in Versailles about 4 a.m. on Monday and proceeded to walk around the residence. Exantus went to an upstairs bedroom where the boy was asleep and stabbed him repeatedly in the head using a knife he found in the house.<\/p>\n

The victim was identified by the Woodford County Coroner as Logan Tipton.<\/p>\n

The victim’s two sisters were also cut, but they survived.<\/p>\n

Exantus fought with the children’s father who held him until police arrived and took Exantus into custody.<\/p>\n

Police said Exantus confessed to the crimes. He was arrested and charged with murder and first-degree burglary and taken to the Woodford County Detention Center. The Woodford County Attorney said three assault charges also are pending against Exantus.
