\nMembers of Meade County Fiscal Court worked through a short agenda during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday (6\/11) night.<\/p>\n

Magistrates heard about issues along Brady Lane that has over seventy potholes which make traveling the .3 mile private road dangerous. Residents want county leaders to make some kind of repairs to the road but the county leaders are not sure what they can do because the roadway is a private road and the county can not do any work on private property. Judge Executive Gerry Lynn said Fiscal Court would look to see if any solutions could be found on the issue.<\/p>\n

The court approved the Rural Municipal Aide agreement from the State Transportation Cabinet for an amount of $408,691. Magistrates approved the appointments of Brooke Hagar to the County Board of Appeals; Gary Chapman as a Fiscal Court Liaison on the Health Department Board; Bruno Ilario to the Meade County Fire Protection Board of Trustees; and Mona Jarboe to the Battletown Fire Department Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n

The Court gave brief discussion on the findings of the recent Circuit Rider Program from the University of Kentucky that provided a study of high impact safety issues across the county. They approved the news signage recommendations. <\/p>\n

County leaders set several dates in the couple of weeks to discuss the ongoing items. The court set a work session to interview candidates for the advertised Planning and Zoning Administrator position on June 18 at 7 pm. They also a date for June 20 at 7 pm to discuss the Property Maintenance Ordinance during a work session to find an agreeable and practical method to handle property nuisances across the county. The court will have a special called meeting on Tuesday, June 25 at 8:30 am for the purpose of closing out the fiscal year-end. <\/p>\n
