After reviewing their schedules, the court scheduled the workshop to be held on Monday, July 15 at 7 pm. The court reviewed and approved a state grant to assist the Meade County Pets In Need Society to assist with the cost of spy and neuter of animals for by providing vouchers to residents of the county for such services to conducted at any veterinary service. County leaders also approved a resolution and interlocal agreement with the  City of Brandenburg to purchase and install metal roofing on the new amphitheater shelter in the riverfront park. The agreement is a three year payment commitment with the county providing sixty percent and the city providing forty percent of funds to complete the project.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrates accepted the Meade County Health Department tax rates which remained the same at 2.7 cents per $100 on property and 2.83 cents per $100 on motor vehicles in the county. The approved the appointments of Rick Meyers to the Meade County District Board along with Andrea Pike Goff and Marc Adams to the Meade County Library Board. <\/p>\n<p>The court opened and inspected bids for design services for a new EMS station building and 30 foot by 30 foot pole barn to store election related equipment. After the review of the bids, the court decided to seek clarification on the design services and seek additional bids for the pole barn. They also tabled any action on a request by the Ekron Fire Department until the regular August meeting.<\/p>\n<p>The court entered into an hour long closed session to discuss personnel resulting in a vote to terminate the Solid Waste Coordinator. No other details were discussed in the public session of the meeting. Magistrates gave approval to hire qualified persons for full time  and part time positions with the County EMS, two full time laborers at the Solid Waste and Recycling and an assistant Planning and Zoning Director.  <\/p>\n<p>Fiscal Court approved the termination of a contract with Waste Transport which was acquired by Santek.
