During the special meeting, Fiscal Court reviewed and approved a bid from Prodigy Construction for architect and design work for a new EMS Station to be located in Brandenburg. After the design phase, the court will then decide when they will proceed with the construction of the new facility. The court also approved deeming a small strip of land as surplus property along Armory Place near the Meade County Fire Protection District Station 1 for the purpose to sell it by sealed bid. The selling process will be advertised in the local newspaper over the next couple of weeks before bids will be opened and awarded to the highest bidder. The court approved payment of one claim.<\/p>\n
The court then adjourned the special called meeting and continued to work on the proposed property maintenance ordinance. During the approximate hour work session, county leaders reviewed a draft document of the ordinance and made several changes to best fit the local needs. The court went section by section to ensure that the document was crafted in the fashion that they view.
