\nA Cecilia man faces first-degree assault and other charges in connection to a shooting in Eastview last month.<\/p>\n
Justin D. Anderson, 28, was arrested Tuesday by the Hardin County Sheriff\u2019s Office, one month after the department was called to investigate what was described as an accidental shooting in the 3000 block of Nacke Pike in Eastview.<\/p>\n
According to the arrest citation, upon arrival, no victim or other subjects were found. A person suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg was later found down the road and was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital.<\/p>\n
During a recorded interview, authorities said the victim stated he was shot by Anderson with a 9mm pistol. A search warrant was executed at the residence and arrest records say a surveillance camera recording the front yard showed Anderson walking around with what appears to be a black semi-automatic pistol.<\/p>\n
The citation said two 9 mm casings were found in the yard near the blood where the victim stated he was shot. A dark colored Kia Soul was observed on the video leaving the residence prior to law enforcement arrival.<\/p>\n
A search warrant was executed and Anderson was arrested at his place of residence, where the same car was seen. Suspected blood stains also were found in the back seat of the Kia.<\/p>\n
According to the report, 9mm rounds, methamphetamine and marijuana also were found in Anderson\u2019s bedroom and bathroom, along with a scale.<\/p>\n
The citation said a young child was home at the residence at the time the search was conducted and the meth was in a place it could be reached by a child.<\/p>\n
Anderson has at least one prior felony conviction.<\/p>\n
Anderson was charged with first-degree assault; possession of handgun by convicted felon; first offense, first-degree possession of controlled substance \u2013 methamphetamine; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and endangering welfare of minor.<\/p>\n
He is being held at the Hardin County Detention Center under a $50,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in Hardin District Court on Wednesday morning.
