\nA woman is charged with stealing money from her employer by issuing unauthorized company checks out to herself. Brittany Culver, 27, of Louisville, was taken into custody Friday (1\/8).<\/p>\n

According to the arrest warrant, over the course of less than a month, she took checks from A-1 Accurate Answering Inc., the company she worked for at the time, and made checks out to herself totaling $5,072 on nine different occasions. Culver then took the checks to the bank, which police say had a forged signature, and deposited the money into her account.<\/p>\n

She was confronted by her employer, who the arrest warrant states is her uncle, and admitted to the act, police said. Police also say Culver was captured on video surveillance depositing the checks into her account at the bank.<\/p>\n

She is charged with seven felony counts and two misdemeanor counts of theft by deception and nine counts of criminal possession of forged instruments, according to the arrest warrant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
