\nMembers of Meade County Fiscal Court met during their regular monthly meeting Tuesday night. The court approved the proposed budgets and salary caps of the County Clerk and Sheriff.<\/p>\n

Sheriff William “Butch” Kerrick said that there was an increase of 3.46 percent or $45,506. He also noted a $9,000 increase or 2.75 percent on the salary cap. Magistrates approved both items.<\/p>\n

The court reviewed their calendars and set a date for a special called meeting followed by a work ssession on Wednesday, January 27 at 6 pm. The special meeting will be review the bids on a replacement oil tanker for the County Road Department. The following work session will be to discuss and work on the proposed abandoned property and nuisance ordinances. <\/p>\n

The court approved contract renewals with Building Inspector Melvin Atcher, Electrical Inspector David Viers, and Information Technology Administrator.<\/p>\n

The court approved the county holiday schedule which follows the state government holiday schedule.<\/p>\n
