Lynn had been dealing with several health issues over the past several months. Lynn was serving in his third term as County Judge Executive since 2011 and had previously represented Meade County as 27th District State Representative from 2005 until 2006. Lynn owned and operated Lynn’s Pins in Brandenburg, and worked on various projects during his career.<\/p>\n
Lynn will be noted for many accomplishments and updates to many county facilities and infrastructure during his tenure as Judge Executive. He continually promoted a united and transparent county government regardless of the political affiliations or influences on issues.<\/p>\n
Meade County officials issued a statement Monday (9\/7) morning regarding Lynn’s death:<\/p>\n
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Meade County Judge-Executive Gerry Lynn. Judge Lynn\u2019s passing is a terrible loss not only for his family and friends, but also for Meade County. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, Nancye, and the rest of the family. He will be greatly missed.”<\/p>\n
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Saturday (9\/12) at the New Brandenburg Southern Baptist Church.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
