The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office filed charges of falsely reporting an incident against 22 year-old Vincent D. Nethery and 27 year-old Donald L. Howard.<\/p>\n
On December 29, the sheriff’s office said both men lied to investigators about having information in the Crystal Rogers case. Deputies say Nethery and Howard each made statements that implicated Danny Singleton in the murder of Rogers. Singleton is an employee of Brooks Houck, the live-in boyfriend of Rogers.<\/p>\n
Under further questioning, both Nethery and Howard admitted to having lied to investigators.<\/p>\n
Rogers, 35, was last seen on July 3, 2015 by Houck. Nelson County Assistant Sheriff Ramon Pineiroa said the Rogers case remains a missing person investigation.<\/p>\n
According to Pineiroa, the word “murder” was used in connection with the charges filed against Nethery and Howard because that is what both men said to investigators during their statements.
