According to the Hardinsburg Police Department, 60 year-old Charles G. Carwile of Irvington and 29 year-old Harold Lacefield of Hardinsburg got into a verbal, then physical confrontation over finances on the yard at Home Place Assisted Living in the midday hour on Wednesday when Carwile shot Lacefield in the chest. A man with Lacefield, 48-year-old Denver Ammons, shot and wounded Carwile in the chest.<\/p>\n
Both Carwile and Lacefield were taken to University of Louisville Hospital, where Carwile died from his injuries. Lacefield was listed in serious but stable condition as of Thursday (5\/20) morning. Ammons was not injured.<\/p>\n
No charges have been filed, but the matter will be turned over to the Breckinridge County Grand Jury for review.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
