A representative of Regional Services said the services will be more dependable with a newer truck fleet and technology. He said the transition remains underway but will ultimately not service disruptions.<\/p>\n<p>Magistrates approved the purchase of the former Derby Tank Car site in Ekron for $91,000. The county will have to purchase a the environmental brown field license for related to the site. They also approved three new job descriptions and pay scale amendment for the county&#8217;s EMS service. Jacob Mattingly and Tim Latondress were reappointed to the County Planning and Zoning Commission. The court approved the reappointments on a staggered term period for the board of adjustment members. <\/p>\n<p>Solid Waste Coordinator Rick Sturgeon provided magistrates information on the sell back program for the roll off trucks used by the department. He recommended to sell back all three trucks which currently are bringing more than the purchase price of new model year trucks. The court reviewed recently sold trucks from the Pulaski County area and agreed and unanimously voted to sell the current roll off trucks. <\/p>\n<p>Fiscal Court revisited a request by the City of Brandenburg to assist with the purchase of a new boat dock in the Riverfront Park. County leaders voted to partner the cost 50\/50 on the new dock which is already installed and in use along the riverfront. Magistrates approved an update to the county&#8217;s personnel policy related to the recent updates to the KRS law regarding open record requests. They also approved the Meade County Sheriff local tax settlement, along with the Detention Center&#8217;s Canteen fund and county treasurer&#8217;s end of year report.<\/p>\n<p>After a 40 minute closed session, magistrates return to public session to take action to terminate one employee from EMS and a Solid Waste employee, who was on probation.
