According to information from the Army’s Regional Health Command, the new facility will not have emergency or inpatient services, including labor and delivery. There will also not be any operating rooms or ambulances provided by the new facility. The current plans, they told us, do not include MRI’s, though they are working to change that.<\/p>\n
A spokesperson with the Regional Health Command said a Warning Order requires the Hospital to reduce its services to that of an outpatient ambulatory care clinic.<\/p>\n
Patients will have to go to other hospitals for certain types of care.<\/p>\n
Senator Mitch McConnell had stated he helped secure the $80 million for the new facility.<\/p>\n
There is no timeline yet for when construction on the new medical facility will begin.
