Around 6 p.m., Judge McKay Chauvin announced the jury\u2019s recommendation for sentencing Lawless on two counts of murder and one count of burglary.<\/p>\n
Lawless was found guilty on Wednesday night after two deliberations by the jury. A second deliberation was brought into effect after a juror was dismissed.<\/p>\n
Life without the possibility of parole means Lawless will never have the opportunity to do what he did on parole in this situation.<\/p>\n
The two charges stem from a shooting on August 2020, where Lawless was convicted of shooting and killing Waddles and Trinity at their home.<\/p>\n
Waddles was confirmed dead at the scene, while Trinity was rushed to Norton Children\u2019s Hospital and later died from her injuries.<\/p>\n
A sentencing hearing at Jefferson Circuit Court is scheduled for November 4, according to the Office of the Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney.
