\nThe Allen County Attorney’s Office has requested an investigation into two personal care homes in Scottsville after both a resident and a former resident are facing murder charges.<\/p>\n

The office filed the state complaint on February 29th, claiming both Cornerstone Manor and Scottsville Manor are taking residents who are beyond their capabilities of supervision and level of care.<\/p>\n
Both facilities currently have an “Open Door Policy” that allows residents to walk around Scottsville, making it easy for them to panhandle or loiter.<\/p>\n
In the complaint, the office of William Hagenbuch said in the past year alone, one or more residents of the facilities had been charged with Harassment, Possession of Marijuana, Robbery and Murder.<\/p>\n
The complaint stated that because of those incidents, Scottsville as a whole felt unsafe knowing the residents are permitted to roam freely.
