\nThe Kentucky League of Cities (KLC) recently presented Brandenburg Accounts Payable Clerk Shannon Stull with a Level I Achievement in City Governance award.<\/p>\n
KLC administers the City Officials Training Center, a voluntary education program. City officials can complete education levels by attending KLC events and submitting outside educational credit from other municipal training. <\/p>\n
Brandenburg Mayor Ronnie Joyner said the training KLC provides is valuable to cities across Kentucky. \u201cKLC\u2019s training is very valuable to us. Shannon is a quick learner, and she learned a lot and made some good contacts through this training,\u201d Joyner said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are happy to serve our city officials with a variety of training through the City Officials Training Center program. This leads to better-informed city servants, which benefits all our citizens and their communities,\u201d said KLC Executive Director & CEO James D. Chaney.<\/p>\n
The Level I Achievement in City Governance award requires a city official to attend a minimum of 30 hours of approved training with one hour of ethics training.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
