According to court records, police arrived at a crash on Hayes Road in Bowling Green on Friday, November 25.<\/p>\n
EMS attempted to provide medical care to a man lying on the ground, but EMS advised police the man was already dead.<\/p>\n
He was identified as 66 year-old Glennis Speck.<\/p>\n
Family members told police the driver of the ATV was 33 year-old Celeste Matthews, of Leitchfield, and had fled the scene near the wood line of the property.<\/p>\n
Police later found Matthews sitting in a ditch on Cemetery Road.<\/p>\n
According to the citation, Matthews admitted to drinking whiskey before driving the ATV with Speck. She also stated that neither were wearing seat belts.<\/p>\n
She said she flipped the ATV as she came around a curve.<\/p>\n
Matthews was later arrested and charged with manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving a motor vehicle under the influence.<\/p>\n
She is being held in the Warren County Jail on a $50,000 cash bond.
