\nLouisville Metro Police have arrested a man in connection to a fatal wrong-way crash that happened over the weekend. <\/p>\n

Porfirio Cruz Hernandez, 26, was arrested on Monday and has been charged with murder, wanton endangerment, driving under the influence and driving without a license. <\/p>\n
According to a department spokesperson, officers responded to a crash involving three vehicles around 4 a.m. on Sunday near Fegenbush Lane and Hurstbourne Parkway.<\/p>\n
LMPD’s preliminary investigation revealed a pickup truck, driven by Hernandez, was driving the wrong way on Hurstbourne Parkway and crashed into two other drivers.<\/p>\n
As a result, one of the vehicles caught fire. The driver of that vehicle received fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.<\/p>\n
Hernandez was taken to University of Louisville Hospital. Police said he remains hospitalized at this time, but is expected to survive his injuries <\/p>\n
LMPD said the driver of the third vehicle was not injured.<\/p>\n
The department’s Traffic Unit is investigating the crash.
