\nKentucky State Police are investigating a case after the Owensboro Police Department requested their assistance in a incident where a suspect attempted to run down their officer.<\/p>\n

The Owensboro officer made a traffic stop around Noon Saturday (3\/12) along Old Hartford Road on a car driven by Ryan S. Clark. The officer recognized Clark as to have multiple arrests warrant and stepped back and ordered Clark out of the car. Clark revved the engine of the car and put the car in reverse and attempting to run down the officer.<\/p>\n

The officer shot at Clark’s car, but he sped away from the scene to run off of Hartfield Road and struck a utility pole. Clark fled the crash scene on foot but was arrested without further incident. No Injuries were reported. Clark was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center and more charges could be forthcoming in the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
