According to Brandenburg Police, officers received calls about a man shoplifting at several stores along the Bypass Monday (2\/13) afternoon. As police were doing their investigation into the incidents, they were called to a report of an shoplifting and assault at the Bypass Quick Mart. When police arrived they found 30 year-old Dalton Kent being detained by several witnesses at the store and discovered that the store owner had suffered injuries during the incident. The store owner was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.<\/p>\n
Upon further investigation, Kent was driving a stolen vehicle from Hardin County. Kent was arrested on charges of Theft by unlawful taking; resisting arrest; disorderly conduct, second degree; and receiving stolen property. He is also facing a charge of giving false information to police officer.<\/p>\n
