\nA two vehicle accident claim the life of one driver just after 9:30 p.m. CST Thursday in Breckinridge County.<\/p>\n
Preliminary investigation indicates a 2014 Honda passenger car being operated by 21-year-old Jacob Gardner of Irvington was traveling West on US 60 near Irvington. A 2021 Mack Truck being operated by 39-year-old Corey Calloway of Rockport, Indiana was traveling East on US 60, when for an unknown reason crossed the centerline. Calloway attempted to steer back into his lane to avoid the collision but was unable to avoid striking Gardner with the driver side rear of his truck.<\/p>\n
The Breckinridge County Coroner pronounced Gardner dead at the scene. Gardner and Calloway were both wearing their seat belts. <\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police Post 4 Elizabethtown was assisted at the scene by the Breckinridge Co Sheriff\u2019s Office, Breck County EMS, Custer Fire Department and Irvington Police Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
