The Barren River Drug Task Force conducted the stop at the intersection of Bowling Green Road and Halfway Road in Scottsville.<\/p>\n
The operator of the vehicle, 52-year-old Steve Pearson, was arrested after an investigation led to the discovery of approximately one pound of marijuana, one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $11,000 cash.<\/p>\n
Another search warrant was executed on Friday morning at a residence on Squire Lyles Road which led to the discovery of approximately one ounce of crystal methamphetamine, a half-pound of marijuana, a semi-automatic handgun, drug paraphernalia, and $1,000 cash.<\/p>\n
Pearson was charged with Rear License Plate not Illuminated, Trafficking in Marijuana, 8 ounces to 5 lbs, 1st Offense, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense, 2 grams of methamphetamine, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon.
