On Friday, Bowling Green Police were negotiating with the suspect via a megaphone and closed off access to the street for about 8 hours.<\/p>\n
According to police, crisis negotiators worked throughout the day to get 37 year-old Adrian C. Barnes to surrender. As negotiations failed, a search warrant was obtained. The Critical Response Team was then called in to get Barnes. After several hours and the introduction of chemical munitions, he surrendered to the team without incident.<\/p>\n
Police say Barnes was attempting to evade several active warrants.<\/p>\n
Barnes was charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance, 1st offense – Two grams or greater of Methamphetamine, Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm), Persistent Felony Offender, Engaging in Organized Crime, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument, Theft by Deception, and Possession of a handgun by a Convicted Felon.<\/p>\n
Barnes is lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $25,225 cash bond.<\/p>\n
Kelise Lindsey, 20, was also arrested for 2nd-degree Hindering Prosecution for Apprehension, after trying to hide Barnes from the police.<\/p>\n
Lindsey is being held in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $1,000 cash bond.
