Now another Officer, Joey Judd, has been suspended, and a Kentucky State Police investigation has been opened up into an altercation involving him and his fiance’s juvenile son.<\/p>\n
Howie fired Officer Michael Burton and Public Affairs Official Julie Anne Williams after they were linked to a partially nude photo of another officer being seen in the building in January.<\/p>\n
On March 9, an officer was suspended for showing up to work just under the legal drinking limit.<\/p>\n
The new chief said his goal is to let the taxpayers know what’s happening discipline wise in the department to try and change the culture into a more professional one.<\/p>\n
Howie said none of the issues he’s dealt with have involved officer performance, but personal matters are part of a police officer\u2019s job unlike other professions and officers are held to a little higher standards that the normal citizen.<\/p>\n
In his short time in Glasgow, Howie is aiming for improvement, but he’s already seen so much the city has to be proud of in their police force. He said Glasgow has great police officers that are dedicated to th3 community, that are dedicated to their profession, and they should be very proud of those officers.<\/p>\n
Regarding the latest suspension, Judd will be on paid leave until Kentucky State Police finishes their investigation. The juvenile involved in the case had to be taken to the hospital but has since been released.
