\nA new health facility aimed at improving maternity care and reducing pre-term birth now calls Louisville home.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Lucina Health opened its doors in Norton Commons.<\/p>\n

The company plans to add as many as 10 to 15 high-tech jobs and could to invest up to $3.5 million in the Louisville area, according to a press release.<\/p>\n

Passport Health Plan, which is headquartered in Louisville, is a development partner, the company’s first customer and helped provide input into product features.<\/p>\n

Mayor Greg Fischer, who was at the opening, says with Lucina, Louisville has the opportunity to set an example for the rest of the country when it comes to improving the health of women and babies.
