The alleged victim told police she was sitting on her porch on East Chestnut Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana when the man approached her last week. She accepted his offer to help with some work in her backyard, according to a release issued by Jeffersonville police on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Once they were in the backyard, the man “lured the victim into her garage where he closed the door and prevented her from leaving,” the release said. “He threatened the victim and assaulted her, stole her phone and demanded additional property.”<\/p>\n
The woman also told police the man tied her up before leaving in her vehicle.<\/p>\n
She was eventually able to free herself and then found a neighbor who called police.<\/p>\n
Investigators found her vehicle on Spring Street in New Albany.<\/p>\n
The suspect is described as a white man in his 30s, about 5-feet-9 with a slender build, short hair and a trimmed beard. At the time of the alleged incident, he was wearing a white T-shirt, jeans and tennis shoes.<\/p>\n
