Julia Poteet, 45, received SNAP and Medicaid benefits between June 1, 2013, and May 31, 2018, that she was not entitled to, according to court documents. <\/p>\n
Specifically, Poteet is charged with making false statements by failing to correctly report her household circumstances when applying for benefits, resulting in a SNAP overpayment of $34,147.00 and a Medicaid overpayment of $24,783.62.<\/p>\n
The state’s total loss is estimated at $58,930.62.<\/p>\n
Poteet’s next court appearance is scheduled for February 5.
