\nA Cave City dentist was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury for acquiring a controlled substance by misrepresentation, fraud, and deception outside his professional medical practice.<\/p>\n

The Grand Jury indictment says between June 2013 and July 2015, Chris Steward wrote prescriptions for Triazolam, Alprazolam, Ambein, Hydrocodone and Zolpidem in 4 different people\u2019s name and arranged for the pills to left for him to pick up.<\/p>\n

In June of 2015, Steward is accused of writing and filling a prescription for Alprazolam without a person\u2019s knowledge. The same month Steward is accused of scheming to defraud Kentucky Medicaid since the person\u2019s prescription was filled and paid for by Kentucky Medicaid. In addition, Steward is charged with illegally using the person\u2019s name and means of identification.<\/p>\n

If convicted, Steward could face up to 20 years in jail.
