Mason Johnson was previously arraigned in November and answered to charges of attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, impersonating a peace officer and more.<\/p>\n
The investigation began on November 19 when Johnson tried to stop a car using police equipment, according to officials.<\/p>\n
After receiving a search warrant for Johnson\u2019s home, deputies found a bomb, traps, guns, body armor and what looked like a spike strip.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, the Nelson County Grand Jury indicted Johnson after a lengthy investigation, according to a post from the Nelson County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n
Johnson has been indicted for three counts of attempted murder, attempted kidnapping, attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction second-degree, impersonating a peace officer, three counts of possession of a destructive device or booby trap device, stalking first-degree, fraudulent firearms transaction, stalking second-degree, violation of EPO\/DVO, and improper use of blue lights.<\/p>\n
Officials said Johnson\u2019s bond will be set at $250,000. This case will now be handled in the Nelson County Circuit Court. He is set to appear in court again on February 22.
