\nKentucky State Police are investigating an incident after a man walked into the Breckinridge County Judicial Center around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday (2\/20) and sprayed staff with an unknown substance.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, the man sprayed a sheriff deputy and fled the building into an alley, where he was detained by police, who he also sprayed with the substance during a brief foot pursuit. The man was detained and taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital by Breck Central EMS for evaluation. He was arrested after being medically cleared by the hospital.<\/p>\n
Three officers were taken to Breckinridge Memorial Hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries.<\/p>\n
The Fort Knox Hazmat Team was requested to test the substance which was determined to be a hot sauce mixture.<\/p>\n
Main Street and some surrounding areas were closed most of the day along with the Breckinridge County Judicial Center until the substance was determined.<\/p>\n
The incident remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
