Jacob Herbert was taken into custody February 28 by Kentucky State Police.<\/p>\n
According to the arrest report, Kentucky State Police detectives working alongside the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the DEA, were able to determine that Herbert was using the U.S. Mail to receive large quantities of narcotics from the Los Angeles, California area. The report says packages containing the drugs were sent to numerous addresses in Louisville starting on December 8, 2023.<\/p>\n
Kentucky State Police states nine parcels tied to Herbert were seized by investigators. The packages contained more than 43 pounds of meth, 2.2. pounds of cocaine and approximately one pound of marijuana.<\/p>\n
After a search warrant was served at Herbert\u2019s home in the Portland neighborhood, authorities found multiple firearms along with marijuana, drug paraphernalia and residue suspected to be from meth and cocaine.<\/p>\n
Herbert, who is also wanted on warrants from Clark County, Indiana and Lafayette County, Missouri, was booked into Louisville Metro Corrections in charges of trafficking in meth, cocaine, marijuana and an unspecified hallucinogen.
