Previously the park was run by Louisville Metro Government before it was turned over to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife officially in 2011.<\/p>\n
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has entered into a five-year, no cost agreement with Meade County to run the campground, with the State still in charge of the rest of the Recreational Area.<\/p>\n
Camp manager Zachary Butler said there are several upgrades in the works, including newly installed Wi-Fi and the ability to reserve the park online only. He said should prevent the chances of double booking spots. If there is an issue with a spot that has already been reserved, you can get a notification saying that something happened in this spot and accommodations can be made.<\/p>\n
A ribbon-cutting is scheduled March 28, 2024 to mark the transfer of the Otter Creek Campground in Meade County from State to County oversight. The grounds will be open for campers beginning April 1.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
