Authorities say a 35-year-old Vehab Cuturic drowned at the Green Castle Lock of Barren River and his body was recovered at 5:20 p.m.<\/p>\n
The Warren County Sheriff’s Department says the man was with 2 other fisherman. They were trying to cross the river by walking on the sandbar when the victim was pulled under by a current.
\nAccording to the Warren County Sheriff\u2019s Department, one of the fisherman tried to go in after the man, but couldn’t get to him.<\/p>\n
The Barren County Dive Team and the Warren County Technical Rescue Team assisted in the search for the body.<\/p>\n
The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife said that the water temperature was only 65-68 degrees.
