According to Oldham County Police, a FLOCK camera system identified a stolen vehicle, a white GMC Acadia, traveling east on Highway 146 around 6 p.m. Police tried to stop the vehicle, but it fled.<\/p>\n
The driver ditched the vehicle on Friendship Drive, near Highway 146, according to police.<\/p>\n
Police searched the area but couldn’t find the suspect. Police were later told by a resident, who was returning home, that the suspect went inside their home and stole two guns. <\/p>\n
Police ended the search for a suspect around midnight but stayed in the area throughout the night. Then, around 2:40 p.m. Monday, officers were notified of reports of a suspicious man walking between homes on Sedley Court in Pewee Valley.<\/p>\n
The man, identified Monday by Oldham County Police as 36-year-old Michael Hulak, of Louisville, initially denied his identity but soon relented and was arrested near Ash Avenue by the old land fill. He is charged with violating his parole and giving a peace officer false identifying information. Additional charges are pending.
