The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of Jim Clark Road in Nelson County.<\/p>\n
Sgt. Jason Allison with the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office said 24-year-old Samantha Thompson was northbound in a 2011 Chevrolet passenger vehicle when she collided with a southbound 2001 Mercury driven by 24-year-old Brittney Evens. Evens’ vehicle went into a spin, ran off the west side of the road and hit 70 year-old Ralph Clark, who was standing next to his mailbox.<\/p>\n
Clark was taken by ambulance to Flaget Memorial Hospital and later transferred to University of Louisville Hospital. His condition was listed as stable on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Evens was taken by private vehicle to Flaget Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
