No action was taken from the comments. In the business session, the magistrates approved policies and procedures for the E911 Center. They also approved a proclamation designating April 14-20 as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. County leaders approved a resolution for a Kentucky Office of Homeland Security grant and a resolution for a five year plan amendment for Solid Waste and Recycling.<\/p>\n<p>The court approved a request by Solid Waste to purchase a new credit card machine. The new unit and account will allow customers to pay with credit or debit cards but the customer will have to pay the 3.5 percent terminal fee on card transactions resulting in saving the county over a thousand dollars per year. Magistrates approved moving forward with accepting Chablis Lane into the county road system. The court approved the second reading of the Code of Conduct in County Buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Fiscal Court heard and approved the first reading of the proposed 2024-25 Fiscal year Budget totaling $37.9 million. Magistrates will meet during a special budget workshop to review line items and make possible adjustments on April 18. <\/p>\n<p>Ethics Commission Chairman Patrick Hoke requested Fiscal Court to hire an attorney for representation related to a pending ethics complaint. The court approved the request with funding up to $1,500 as discussed during a recent special called meeting. In a different matter, magistrates met during a 40 minute closed session for the purpose to discuss pending litigation.
