The woman behind the wheel, Angela Chapman, was sentenced to 65 years.<\/p>\n
Chapman had walked away from a drug treatment facility, immediately went to Walgreens to buy syringes, then went to her dealer\u2019s house.<\/p>\n
She was shooting up, driving down Dixie Highway, when she crossed the center line, hitting Jasilyn Gardner and her children, who were on their way home from church.<\/p>\n
One-year-old Ja\u2019Rell and two-year-old Ja\u2019Reese Hunter both died in the crash.<\/p>\n
Chapman was sentenced to 25 years on each count of murder, plus 15 years for assault for Gardner\u2019s injuries.<\/p>\n
The judge, acknowledging it is the worst DUI case he has ever seen in his 27 years on the job, ruled she must serve the sentences consecutively, for a total of 65 years.
