Justin Campisano, 39, of Louisville, was arrested May 1 on one count of arson.<\/p>\n
According to his arrest report, the fire happened shortly before 5 p.m. at Valhalla Post Acute, located at 300 Shelby Station Drive. Louisville Metro Arson Bureau investigators say Campisano made a statement to a witness that he was going to get the occupant of the room \u201cout of here.\u201d<\/p>\n
Campisano was later recorded on video leaving the room of the patient he had been talking about shortly before the fire alarm started sounding.<\/p>\n
Investigators determined the fire was intentionally set and their investigation led them to Campisano.<\/p>\n
Damage from the fire was minor. The occupant of the room had left approximately 45 minutes before the fire began.<\/p>\n
During his arraignment on May 2, a plea of not guilty was entered for Campisano. He was released from Louisville Metro Corrections after a $20,000 surety bond was posted. Campisano was ordered to have no contact with Valhalla Post Acute or to possess any fire-starting materials.<\/p>\n
Campisano will be back in court May 10 for a preliminary hearing.
