The incident unfolded just after 7 p.m. when authorities received a call from a female who said a man approached her and became physical with her near a greenhouse in the vicinity of Snell Hall.<\/p>\n
The caller reported an alarming encounter with a man identified as 21-year-old Davaughn Johnson, a student at WKU, according to police.<\/p>\n
Johnson reportedly engaged her in conversation before grabbing her and wrestling with her.<\/p>\n
The woman fled from Johnson, seeking refuge at the Midtown apartments where she called the authorities. WKU Police later located Johnson near Cherry Hall and took him into custody.<\/p>\n
Johnson now faces charges including first-degree sexual abuse, unlawful imprisonment, and fourth-degree assault. He is currently in the Warren County Regional Jail on a $10,000 cash bond.<\/p>\n
Police said although the victim sustained minor injuries during the struggle, she opted not to seek medical attention.
