The first shooting happened on November 13 in the Wyandotte neighborhood when a man with an AR-styled pistol, later identified as Jason Bobbit, led officers on a foot chase. Despite being told to drop his weapon multiple times, police say Bobbit pointed the gun at officers instead. Officer O\u2019Sha Rogers shot him in response.<\/p>\n
The Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney\u2019s Office found that Rogers\u2019 actions were justified.<\/p>\n
The second shooting happened on December 8 in the South Louisville neighborhood. Criminal Investigation Department units made a traffic stop near South 4th Street and Central Avenue when a man in the car, Marvin Perry Smith, got out carrying a pistol with an extended magazine and ran south on 4th Street. Police said Smith ignored commands from officers to stop and was then shot by Sgt. Joshua Arnwine.<\/p>\n
The attorney\u2019s office also found that Arnwine\u2019s actions were justified.
