You should think twice about not destroying these documents before throwing them away including:<\/p>\n

\nTax Forms
\nLegal Documents

\nAnd any other documents that may contain important information.<\/p>\n
Bowling Green Police Department Public Information Officer Ronnie Ward, says if the wrong person gets ahold of these documents, many problems could arise, such as financial issues.<\/p>\n
Ward said people would take a credit card application and just complete it, sign it, turn it back in. And then they would intercept the credit card when it showed up at your house, which meant they are checking your mail quite often.<\/p>\n
Ward suggests shredding or burning any other documents that may have information that could be used to steal your identity.<\/p>\n
Along with his suggestions, he also says if you believe your financial information has been compromised, you should contact your financial or related institution directly, not the police.
