\nThis May will go down as one of the deadliest months in recent years in Louisville, with more than 20 people killed.<\/p>\n

Many of those cases add to a list of unsolved homicides in the city as families are left with questions as they grieve.<\/p>\n

Headlines all throughout the month of May described just a few of the 22 homicides tracked in Jefferson County.<\/p>\n

All of those victims were men, women, teens who lost their lives. Five of the 22 homicides happened in just one day during Mother’s Day weekend, May 11.<\/p>\n

Friday night, a man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being shot on South 18th Street in the city’s Russell neighborhood. Another man showed up at University Hospital Friday night with non-life threatening injuries from a shooting. Louisville Metro Police said the shooting happened in the 1300 block of South First Street.<\/p>\n
