On May 11, two people were shot and killed inside Hot Spot Bar and Grill on Evangeline Avenue.<\/p>\n
Two more people were shot and sent to the hospital. Those two are expected to survive.<\/p>\n
Immediately following the shooting the Metro Louisville Office of Alcohol and Beverage Control issued an emergency suspension order, taking away the bar\u2019s liquor license.<\/p>\n
The ABC claimed Hot Spot Bar and Grill did not make adequate effort to keep guns out, therefore \u201callowing\u201d the guns to enter.<\/p>\n
The bar\u2019s owner, Anizledy Aguirre, said they spend 50% of operating costs on security and require two pat downs on the way into the bar.<\/p>\n
A hearing officer ultimately ruled in Hot Spot\u2019s favor. Hot Spot\u2019s Attorney Eric Eaton said he is not surprised by the ruling because there just wasn\u2019t any evidence to support the allegations against The Hot Spot. <\/p>\n
Hot Spot had been closed, but now plans to re-open with Thursday\u2019s favorable ruling.
