Tuesday, LMPD’s Public Integrity Unit arrested 41year-old Timothy Davis on an arrest warrant out of Bullitt County, according to department spokesperson Sgt. Matt Sanders. <\/p>\n
Davis is being held at Metro Corrections, charged with tampering with physical evidence, criminal mischief, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.<\/p>\n
According to the citation, on May 18, 2024, Davis, while driving his unmarked police vehicle, was in an accident at Landis Lane and Parkview Avenue in Mt. Washington. Davis failed to stop at a stop sign and his vehicle left the road “at approximately 50-60 mph striking two trailers” in a nearby parking lot. <\/p>\n
Sanders said Louisville Metro Police Department was made aware of the incident by Mt. Washington Police shortly after the incident. On May 21, Davis had his police powers limited. He also turned in some department-issued equipment and was put on administrative light duty.<\/p>\n
Sanders said Davis is currently on administrative leave.
