The same jury also found Gordon guilty of being a persistent felony offender. They recommended Gordon receive a life sentence on the murder conviction.<\/p>\n<p>Gordon was on trial for the February 27, 2022 death of Angelica James. Louisville Metro police officers that responded to a call in the 4100 block of Quiet Way in the Newburg neighborhood around 4 p.m. found James inside a car dead from multiple gunshot wounds. Her 10-year-old son was also in the car at the time of the shooting and was wounded.<\/p>\n<p>Jefferson Commonwealth\u2019s Attorney Gerina D.
